Ruff Hour is offline-first. Walks, ordinary pee and poop moments, photos, and Sniffs are private and dog-scoped unless you deliberately create a shared replay.

Shared walks

A shared replay removes photos and trims the beginning and end of the route. Anyone with its opaque link can view it until it expires after 30 days or you revoke it. Shared pages are excluded from search indexing.

Attribution

Ruff Hour records the share destination category, replay opens, and App Store button taps so we can understand whether shared walks help people discover the app. We do not store an IP address or advertising identifier with these events.

Public safety

Only hazards you intentionally report—foxtails, broken glass, or unpicked poop—may appear publicly. Active dog locations appear only while their person chooses to be visible.
