About Ruff Hour

Ruff Hour is an independent iPhone app built around daily neighborhood walks with Argo. The map combines live dog-walk traffic, comfort signals, temporary safety reports, and private walk history so the useful context is there when the leash is already in your hand.

What it is—and is not

Ruff Hour is a neighborhood walking tool, not a generic pet feed, dog directory, navigation service, or veterinary and behavioral diagnosis. A nearby dog appears only when its walker chooses to surface the walk. Private routes and ordinary walk moments are not public traffic.

How Field Notes are made

Each Field Note starts with a question that can actually come up on a walk: foxtails, broken glass, leash greetings, sniff time, visibility, or handing care to someone you trust. We use primary and public sources where practical, link the evidence worth opening, state the limits, and date every note. The goal is useful context for the next block—not volume for search engines.
